About The Last Genuine Leather Co.
Ken Guyer began working with leather while living in California. After settling in Lexington, his interest in leather work became a vocation, selling his work at art and craft shows. Customers were amazed at the smell and feel of real or “genuine” leather; this is where the name for the shop originated. The Last Genuine Leather Company first opened its doors in 1974, on Main Street in Lexington. A year later, Ken moved the shop to the Euclid Ave. location where it remained for 15 years. Then he relocated a block away to one of Lexington’s oldest shopping districts, and then to it's current Southland Drive location in September of 2008.
The Last Genuine Leather Company is open Monday-Friday, 10AM-6PM and on Saturday 10AM-5PM.
